NEVERHACK Estonia is the leading Nordic cybersecurity company, specializing in end-to-end cybersecurity solutions for both private and public sector customers. We are embarking on an exciting joint venture with the NEVERHACK Group, aiming to establish a global cybersecurity monitoring center across Europe by 2024. As part of this mission, we are building a Center of Excellence in Estonia to pioneer innovative cybersecurity solutions.
We are looking for a SOC Service Architect/Head of Development to lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge SOC (Security Operations Center) services and technological solutions. If you are a visionary leader with extensive experience in SOC service architecture and a passion for pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity, this is the perfect role for you!
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the ideation and development of innovative SOC services and solutions.
- Oversee the testing, implementation, and support of SOC-related technologies.
- Provide technical guidance for SOC operations and ensure robust service performance.
- Estimate costs and assess risks associated with SOC technology stacks, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Create low-level architectural designs, technical requirements, and other essential documentation to support service development.
- Prepare and evaluate RFPs (Request for Proposals) for security vendors.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure smooth integration and support of SOC services.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, ensuring SOC services remain effective and compliant with relevant laws and standards.
- Mentor and guide SOC team members, leading technical workshops and training sessions.
Your Experiences:
- 7+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years of experience in a SOC environment.
- Proven track record in the design and implementation of SOC services and solutions.
- Experience in service design and architecture within an MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider) SOC context.
- Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, XDR).
- Familiarity with cloud security and virtualization technologies.
Your Skills:
- Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, and security operations.
- Proficiency in incident handling, response procedures, and security documentation.
- Expertise in cost estimation, risk assessment, and budget management for SOC technologies.
- Ability to create architectural designs and technical documentation for SOC services.
- Experience in preparing and evaluating RFPs for security vendors.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
Your Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Certifications (Not Essential):
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
- GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification) in areas relevant to SOC operations
- CCNP Security (Cisco Certified Network Professional Security) or equivalent vendor-specific certifications

Location:
- Ideally, we are looking for candidates who can work in a hybrid model (Baltics, Finland preferred), but for the right candidate, we are open to a remote approach within the EU.
