Can I use ChatGPT at work?
In this episode of CyberCast, recorded live at the Nordic-Baltic Security Summit 2024, hosts Ronnie Jaanhold and Siim Pajusaar explore the legal and ethical dimensions of workplace AI with Henri Ratnik, Co-Head of IT, IP and Data Protection at Widen Legal. Henri, a self-proclaimed “legal jazz player”, gets into the questions many companies are asking: Can I use ChatGPT at work? What are the risks? What does the EU AI Act mean for my company?
One thing is sure, AI is here to stay. Henri says: “We can’t stop the innovation. We have to use AI because it helps us to do our jobs faster, and better. But we should know the rules” as legal challenges are growing. Henri shared some real-life examples, such as the Canadian Airlines chatbot fiasco, saying “if the chatbot is talking crazy, you are liable for it”. The episode also looked back at some of the most notable AI-related legal cases, such as the Uber self-driving car accident, to discuss shared responsibility between technology providers and users.
This episode is a must-listen for anyone navigating the need and want of AI in the workplace.
